We will always attempt to deliver your order on the requested delivery date, and as close to the time specified if a timed delivery has been requested, however sometimes problems can occur which are beyond our control, so we cannot guarantee this. These factors, such as increased traffic or road closures, severe weather conditions or delivery vehicle breakdowns are beyond our control and we cannot be accountable for late deliveries as a result.
Below is a copy of our delivery check list and I would be grateful if you could familiarise yourselves with these delivery restrictions with a view to avoiding issues that can occur during deliveries. This will ultimately save you both time and money and make the delivery process a lot smoother.
DELIVERY CHECK LIST
We request that you inform us of any delivery restrictions you may have prior to the goods being despatched, along with a full delivery address including postcode and mobile telephone number. Many of the following delivery restrictions can be overcome or special arrangements made to accommodate more awkward sites so it is critical that we are informed of all factors upon receipt of your order and prior to arranging delivery to ensure a smooth and timely delivery is achieved.
The following check list is provided to ensure that your deliveries are achieved in the easiest and safest manner for all concerned. Please familiarise yourself with our delivery criteria below and notify us when placing your order of any factors that may affect your delivery. Failure to notify us of any delivery restrictions may delay receipt of your order, and may incur additional costs for failed or re-deliveries.
Size of Vehicle – Delivery will be made on an artic vehicle, unless otherwise requested. Please check you have sufficient access to accommodate this size of vehicle at your chosen point of delivery.
Route to your address – Please make sure that the route to your chosen delivery address is free from low hanging branches or obstacles (including parked cars) which may cause damage or obstruct delivery vehicles. Please note that if the driver considers your access unsuitable for whatever reason they are well within their rights to refuse to unload the pallet, or alternatively unload it as near as possible to the required destination. The delivery vehicles must be able to park in an area where the delivery is to be made; they cannot park in any red zones or on restricted parking.
Tail Lift Offload – A tail lift offload will only be provided if requested when ordering. If you do not ask for a tail lift offload it is presumed that there will be a fork lift available to offload on site. The haulier will not allow you to handball any goods off the vehicle. Delivery will be made on a kerb side offload basis; the driver will leave your pallet as near to the property as is deemed safe and suitable.
A tail-lift offload and manual pump truck can only be operated on:
- • a solid hard surface
- • a surface free from grass, soil, uneven paving or gravel
- • a surface which is flat and level with no inclines/declines.
Not a Hiab – Please note that unless requested, the delivery will not be on a hiab vehicle, so cannot be offloaded via crane. If you require a HIAB offload this can usually be arranged depending on the weight of the order and delivery address, but prices and lead time will be different.
Receipt of Goods – Please make sure you are available to receive the order to check and sign for the material. If a delivery location is unattended an attempt will be made to contact the individual concerned using the phone contact number supplied on your order. If, when the driver delivers, he cannot obtain a signature and the site is deemed unsafe the delivery will be returned for delivery at a later date. Further charges will be incurred if this happens.
Cancelled Delivery Collections – If an order is cancelled after delivery and requires collection, the material must remain on the pallet with the shrink wrap cover still intact. Delivery charges will apply to collect an order and return back to LRS. If a collection is refused additional charges will apply. Not all pallets can be collected, if there are forklifts on site maximum pallet weight is 1250kg. If there are no fork lifts on site pallets must weigh no more than 1000kg. Pallets must be left kerb side on a flat, hard surface. The customer, or somebody appointed by the customer, should be at the site on collection.
Damaged Goods Received on Delivery – Any damages and discrepancies must be signed for on receipt of the goods. The quantity and product must be written on the paperwork and signed by the driver in order for a credit investigation to be raised. Any delivery or damaged goods complaints must be made within 24 hours of delivery.
